I appreciate that sometimes you step over the budget but when you lose control of the financials, council goes bust and the system is still not safe, secure and potentially not fit for purpose. Questions genuinely need to be asked. This isn’t the first time government or local government project spiral. Are they choosing the wrong partners? Is there something missing from the tender process? Are they just blindly choosing a partner from a framework? Maybe a reform on the tender/framework process is needed.

A gentle reminder of the Dynamics 365 price increase coming on the 1st October 2024. With some products increasing by around 16% it's an apt time to be considering a strategy to price lock 3 Year terms where appropriate. There are also still customers who will be coming out of a 5 Year or 3+2 Year Enterprise Agreement who will need to review their user roles, as the grandfathered rights they had previously to some features will no longer be applicable. After listening to Mark Smith awesome podcast on Enterprise and Solution Architecture roles ( https://lnkd.in/ek7aJBBD ), thought I’d share this. Bridging that gap and gap in knowledge of Microsoft’s frameworks I think is key for organisations that require that assurance of an EA framework, and how that aligns with Microsoft’s incredibly versatile ecosystem.
